One of the largest projects that Best & Associates has designed was a city in Huajia China The city was designed as the first eco city in the world. All automobiles would be underground to allow for more green space on the surface and around the buildings. The lake would be reshaped to provide water and sewer for the entire site. An 18 hole golf course in the shape of 2 dragons wrap the lake to provide riparian zones for the water treatment plant.
The site was to house 100,000 people and would include residence, retail, and schools from K through college. Also, the site would provide jobs for its citizens and would include a shopping mall and farmers market.
The site would house an aquaponics farm to raise fish and vegetables for the citizens, Boat Slips would house boat houses for rental for golf vacations. A future amusement park would be added a later date to also provide employment for the community.
